3 things to know about AI this summer

Let’s talk about AI. The truth is most of us are using this technology in some way, but this blog is all about harnessing the power of ChatGPT and other AI tools to the best of our abilities.

Why did we think it was time for such a message? A recent survey from a title vendor showed that about 90% of title professionals are already using AI in some capacity, and we assume usage levels are about the same across the real estate world.

So, how can you get AI to work harder for you? Thank you for asking! Here are three tips for making the most of this innovative technology.

It can assist with almost anything, but details matter. In other words, anything can be a ChatGPT prompt, but not everything can be a good ChatGPT prompt. That’s why it’s important to detail what you’re looking for in content creation. You can even narrow it down as the robots generate information regarding length, tone and more. Furthermore, it can create with your brand or voice in mind, as long as you feed it the information to make this possible.

AI can help you with content planning and repackaging. If you struggle with developing ideas or adapting existing content to new formats, the technology can also help you. ChatGPT can help you come up with outlines and organize your thoughts. All you have to do is ask – as specifically as you can. Plus, it can take pieces you’ve already written and turn them into material for social media posts, marketing emails, pitch decks, etc.

These tools don’t claim to be perfect. Need proof? There’s this disclaimer at the bottom of the ChatGPT window: ChatGPT can make mistakes. Check important info.” In addition, experts advise not feeding confidential or other information that shouldn’t be shared with any AI tool. On a micro level, it’s important to review and edit any content you want to share with customers and partners. On a macro level, it’s vital to talk to your team about the rules and regulations when it comes to AI use. That last point is where many are lagging currently. According to the same survey we referenced above, 94% of title and escrow companies currently operate without established AI policies.
